Legal Advisor
About the Company:
Our client is a large, well-established family-owned group active in the construction sector. The group manages complex and demanding projects across Belgium, requiring strong technical expertise as well as solid handling of contractual and legal matters.
To strengthen its legal department, the company is looking for a Legal Counsel to support internal teams and oversee legal aspects related to its operations.
Your responsibilities:
Internal support:
- Assist teams in preparing bids and drafting/reviewing contracts
- Provide legal guidance in managing site-related disputes and analyzing legally sensitive situations
External relations:
- Draft and respond to formal letters and notices
- Contribute to conflict resolution, whether amicable or judicial
- Follow up on expert assessments and collaborate with external lawyers in ongoing legal proceedings
Profile:
- Master’s degree in Law, ideally with a focus on construction law, public procurement, or real estate law
- A first relevant experience (junior candidates with strong potential may also be considered)
- Alternative backgrounds (e.g., technical experience in construction, notarial or real estate expertise) may be valued if combined with a strong interest in legal matters
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills
- Proficiency in standard office tools (MS Office)
- French native
