Accountant
For one of our partner active in the banking sector in Antwerp, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. You will play a crucial role in the preparation of annual reports, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations. Your analytical skills will be essential in analyzing financial data and providing insights to support decision-making. The successful candidate will also assist in budgeting and cost accounting, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Job Description: Cost Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly closings
- Handle incoming invoices and payments
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Utilize Business Central/Navision and Excel for accounting tasks
- Prepare VAT returns (BEGAAP, LUXGAAP, NLGAAP)
- Understand and apply VAT regulations
- Monitor and discuss budgets
- Analyze costs
- Prepare financial reports
- Support audits and collaborate with business partners
Your Profile as a Cost Accountant:
- You are dynamic, pragmatic and proactive
- You possess strong communication skills and have a team spirit
- You have experience with Business Central / Navision
- You have knowledge of VAT legislation in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, or are willing to learn
- You have a healthy critical mindset and are analytically inclined
- You are fluent in both Dutch and French
- You have min 4 years' experience as an Accountant
